Vintage 12-Place French Art Deco Dinner Service, Blue & Mustard Yellow, 43-Piece Set

A classic cottage style French vintage dinner service in blue and mustard yellow pattern, with plate settings for up to 12 people, plus a set of matching serving dishes. In the design "Boheme" c 1950 - excellent vintage condition and still very usable!

Featuring a strong geometric border in blue and burnt orange / yellow, this set has swags of cottage style charm. An absolutely classic French design for a farmhouse kitchen, or 1930s / 1940s inspired vintage décor. Numerous plates to serve a significant dinner party, accompanied by classically French matching set of serve ware. Excellent color retaining a soft ivory base without any significant discoloration, almost every piece is in excellent condition.

The set includes: 12 flat plates, 12 soup plates, 12 side plates, one large round flat serving platter, one large salad bowl; one salad bowl, one oval serving platter, two small oval raviers (vegetable serving dishes) and one small serving bowl. All in excellent usable condition. (Additional flat dinner plates are also available so please enquire if you would like a larger number of plates.)

PLEASE NOTE: All pieces are in very good - excellent antique condition unless otherwise noted below - they may show some minor crazing, light signs of use such as scratches, some tiny 'fleabite' chips to the rim and very minor discoloration in places.

Dimensions and specific condition notes as follows:

- 12 Dinner plates (22cm diameter)
- 12 soup plates (22cm diameter)
- 12 Side plates (20.5cm diameter)
- 1 large round serving platter (28cm diameter x 3cm high)
- 1 large oval serving platter (29cm diameter x 4.5cm high)
- 1 large salad bowl / deep serving dish - 27.7cm diameter x 6cm high
- 2 oval ravier serving dishes - 32cm long x 22.5cm wide x 3cm high.
- 1 small double lipped serving / sauce bowl (16cm diameter x 11.5cm x 6.5 high) - in good condition, a very fine hairline of 1cm at the rim (difficult to see and no movement at this point) no other marks or damage.

Overall, this set has been very lightly used and remains in excellent condition despite its age. Because this is a functional item, you may expect to see signs of use including light scratches, a few small areas of glaze loss, a few small areas of discoloration, etc. Also, it is manufactured to different standards than today, and you may see areas of glaze smudging, glaze spots, bubbles under the glaze - these are part of the vintage charm of the item and should in no way be regarded as faults. Overall, this set is in truly excellent condition for its age of 90+ years - it remains very usable and will display well for years to come.
