Shabby French Antique footed sauce boat / saucière, Iris flower, KG Luneville, blue & white floral transferware, Aesthetic Movement c 1800s

A shabby-but-lovely antique French footed serving dish with attached base in petrol blue transferware design c1884-1990 from KG Luneville France. Bearing many marks of its long life, the condition is shabby but this special piece still displays beautifully with its elegant lines and stunning transferware design. This lovely small bowl will be a fabulous as a centerpiece, candy dish, or for display - beautiful with flowers, small fruits, or as a nut dish for a special table decoration.

Featuring beautifully molded, subtly 'twisted' handles and a tranquil country-style pattern in a spring theme of naturalistic Iris flowers in full bloom, this delightful sauciere is a gorgeous example of French country or cottage décor with a touch of Parisian formality.

This dish is in shabby antique condition. The footplate has a long hairline crack with discoloration. The bowl has hairline cracks of approx 4cm at each end, discoloration / tea staining, and a shallow 1cm chip to the underside of the rim of one of the spouts. There are several very fine hairline cracks to the body of the bowl also. Overall, this piece is no longer suitable for food service, but still displays nicely with a pretty patina of age. The condition will not suit everyone, so please check all the photos to make sure you are OK with the condition before you buy.
