A gorgeous set of 8 French standard tasse coffee cups in a striking minimalist design in the Moderne style, with clean lines and subtle detailing of textured wheat grain pattern and soft yellow colorway. Angular handles and subtle conical shape give these pieces the forward look of classic French Modernist design, emerging during the late Art Deco period. From the renowned faienceries of Saint Amand, France and bearing a mark in use from 1908 - 1962 from Céranord, these are lovely examples of vintage midcentury French faience, ready for use in your home. Priced and sold as a SET of 8 cups and matching saucers. While enjoying clean lines and a pared-back appearance, these pieces are beautifully made and also have many subtle details to enjoy, from the textured surface in a repeating geometric design, to the subtle radial pattern on the saucers and the delightful earthy wheat yellow palette. Lovely 1940s / 1950s design to fit in with a retro vibe; but, with their classic style and sunny hue, these pieces would be right at home in any vintage décor or cottage-style kitchen. This set is in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or discoloration. Some age-appropriate crazing inside the cups. Overall light signs of wear and use, a few scratches and tiny fleabite glaze losses here and there, but nothing to detract from appearance on display or continued usability.
