SET of 6 shabby mismatched French antique ironstone wall plates, blue/green transferware cottage style, Sarreguemines, St Amand c1890 - 1920

A shabby-but-gorgeous set of 6 French antique ironstone mismatched country style soup plates, late 19th century dates from the period of the Aesthetic Movement. Featuring blue transferware in various floral patterns, these pieces have been made with a mix of intricate transferware designs. In popular patterns from well-respected French faience makers, including Sarreguemines, and St Amand, France.

Priced and sold as a mismatched SET of 6.

The plates are all in shabby antique condition - the colour is mostly bright and clear, many signs of use such as scrapes / scratches, scuffs, some crazing / dulling of the glazes and areas of 'tea stain' discoloration. 2 plates with large chips, 4 with hairline cracks. Other faults including staining, glaze skips, and fleabite glaze losses. Please see photographs for condition and feel free to ask any questions.

The diameter of these plates ranges between 22cm-23cm. The height of the plates is around 4cm.

Shabby decor lovers will swoon, but the condition will not suit everyone - please check the photos carefully and feel free to ask any questions. I am more than happy to provide extra images and information if required. The price reflects the condition.

Despite these issues, this remains is a lovely set to display and enjoy - a fabulous addition to your vintage, French country or farmhouse interior!
