A gorgeous set of 6 matching French antique side / dessert plates in red transferware with pretty tea stain patina. This lovely set of plates is made in earthenware (ironstone) in a beautiful floral design in the 'Fleurs de Automne' pattern from renowned faiencerie de Gien, France c1880-1900.

These beautiful plates are made in earthenware with a creamy white paste and red transferware. A perfect French country design, in a rare red and white colourway.
Each piece features a beautiful naturalistic floral design of blooms and leaves finished with a lovely romantic pattern around the border. Gorgeous Aesthetic movement design in romantic red and ivory palette.

Prettily showing the passing of their 120 + years of age these plates are in very good antique condition – No major damage to note but you may see small signs of use and wear such as minor crazing tiny 'fleabite' chips glaze losses to the rim, scrapes, scratches and spots of discoloration and other small defects, all to be expected for their age. In lovely condition for age, gorgeous on display and nothing to prevent continued use, as desired.
