A lovely set of 4 French antique etched liqueur / digestif glasses with pleasing variations that speak to handmade production methods. Undated but probably c 1880-1920 blown in clear glass needle etched with a very elegant geometric Greek key design. In excellent vintage condition, ready for use on your table.
Priced and sold as a SET of 4 pieces.
The glasses when tapped and have a delightful variation in to tone - every note is slightly different. This denotes the pieces are blown with some tiny variation between each glass - you can't see this, but it shows each is a hand made item.
These pieces are a very small wine glass shape, suitable for liqueurs or other small tipples. Highly decorative pieces to add a flourish to your special table settings, or evinings by the fireside!
Undated and unmarked but stylistically likely to be from late 19th - early 20th century (they could also be a little earlier as the etching machines used to make these types of glassware was invented in the 1860s. Unmarked.
Dimensions: 8.5cm tall x 3.5cm glass diameter
Lovely pieces all in excellent condition. Light scratches may be present, no chips or cracks.
Feel free to ask any questions - I'm happy to help! :)
