Set of 16 Antique Ridgway Dessert Plates: Green Transferware Empire Pattern

A lovely set of 16 green and white transferware antique dessert plates in very good antique condition. A classic design featuring scalloped edges with exquisite molded details and an elegant forest green and white transferware pattern. Stamped on the back with Ridgways, England Royal semi porcelain 'Empire' and the famous 'Bow and Quiver' mark dating the plates between 1880 and 1920. Ideal plates for entrees, desserts, or other serving uses, these are also delightful display pieces.

The condition is very good to excellent antique condition throughout. No chips, cracks or significant scratches, light signs of use and wear. Some age-appropriate crazing, spots and smears of the transferware pattern, as usual for the more 'hand-made' processes of the time. In truly fabulous condition for age.
