A set of 12 lovely English vintage side plates in a beautiful design from Wedgwood. These 'blue bird' side plates in the pattern 'Volendam' from Wedgwood's Georgetown Collections, feature a central bird of paradise in a charming vignette of basket, flowers and foliage with trellis and floral cartouche border. A lovely classic palette of navy blue with yellow ochre accents and light touches of sage green. Beautifully kept and ready to keep serving, this lovely set evokes classic antique cottage and colonial style, in a timeless blue and white colourway.
Marked for the prestigious Wedgwood potteries in the 'Volendam' pattern produced between 1971 - 1987.

In excellent 'as new' condition - no damage, no signs of use. Glazes in excellent condition with lovely crisp white colour, no discoloration of the glaze, no crazing. Perfect to go straight into service for your next tea party or special dinner!
