A set of 8 very elegant French antique large plates for serving artichoke and asparagus featuring flowers and leaves hand painted in red, pink and green and blue against a soft cream ground with scalloped and molded rims. A rare design 'Courtrai' c1910-1920 from the faienceries of Longchamp, France.

In good antique condition and very attractive on display. some marks of time and small damage - 1 pc with a 3-4cm hairline crack at the rim. Otherwise, small scuffs / glaze losses on most of the plates at the raised area on the serving surface from stacking; scratches, small stains, signs of use. They have a lovely creamy ivory color, minimal discoloration of the glaze, with light overall crazing all to be to be expected for age of 100+ years - these plates remain in great condition for display or use - beautiful whether on the plate rack or in use on your table.
Each plate is 24.7cm diameter x 2.5cm high.
