A gorgeous set of 6 French antique ironstone mismatched formal style dinner plates, late 19th early 20th century dates. Featuring blue transferware in various floral patterns, these pieces have been made with a mix of intricate transferware designs with floral and garlands theme. In very good to excellent condition, ready to be put to use or enjoyed on display. In sought-after patterns from well-respected French faience makers including Moulin Des Loups, St Amand, Grigny and two pieces sourced from the store of Emile Borgeoise the famous Grand Depot of Paris. Made in France c1890-1910.
Priced and sold as a mismatched SET of 6 - additional pieces are available in some patterns (please enquire if you would like more than 6 and I will be happy to make a custom set to suit your needs).
With a delightful mix of patterns including little visual treasures to discover such as tiny medieval dragons, flower sprigs and even thistles, this is a lovely set to use and enjoy.
Condition
These pieces are in very good to excellent antique condition, no major damage, chips or cracks to note, but you may see small signs of use and wear such as minor crazing tiny 'fleabite' chips glaze losses to the rim, scrapes, scratches and spots of discoloration and other small defects, all to be expected for an age over 100 years. In truly lovely condition for age, gorgeous on display and nothing to prevent continued use, as desired.
Dimensions
The diameter of these plates ranges between 22.5cm - 23.5cm for use as dinner plates.
A charming set that makes the most of the beautiful patterns available in France at the end of the 19th century, these timeless pieces will add an authentic French touch to any décor.
