Set 6 Antique Longwy France Dinner plates, Bluets Pattern, rose Pink Transferware

Very elegant French antique dinner plates in the pattern 'Bluets' produced by the highly respected maker Longwy with blooms and flower buds in exquisitely rendered detail, pale rose pink transferware on an ivory or cream ground. The plates are very subtly scalloped with fluted rims, an understated extra touch that lends extra elegance to this set.
This service was made in French faience ('terre de fer') c1890-1920, remains in lovely antique condition, very usable and displays beautifully.

CONDITION -
Excellent antique condition. Please note these plates were manufactured using more 'handmade' processes than today, and you may see areas of glaze smudging, glaze spots, bubbles under the glaze as is normal for transferware and part of the vintage charm of the items. With the exception of a few minor flaws everything is in very good to excellent condition and remarkably well preserved for its age of 100+ years - the service remains fully usable and will display well for years to come.
