A stunning set of 6 antique faience side plates c1900-1910 from K&G (Keller et Guerin) of Luneville, France. Featuring elegant blue and white transferware floral designs in a classic Art Nouveau style and accented by beautiful white barbotine molded / sculpted border details and a lightly fluted form with a 'festonee' border. In excellent condition, these plates remain very usable - perfect party pieces or for the china cabinet!
A lovely form, with lightly scalloped and fluted rim and a beautiful design of repeating stylised border of vining floral sprays. Very elegant design in a classic blue and white colorway.
Each plate is 21.5cm diameter 3cm high
In excellent vintage condition with no cracks, crazing or discoloration. Some very minor faults and signs of use such as scratches on some of the plates and a few small fleabites chips and scrapes to the rim. One plate with a non-penetrating hairline on the reverse (appears to be in the glaze layer only). Nothing to prevent use or to affect appearance on display.
A superb set of plates to display, use and enjoy from a respected French maker!
