A stunning set of 3 antique faience side plates c1900-1910 from K&G (Keller et Guerin) of Luneville, France. Featuring elegant vibrant green and white stencil painted fruit designs in a classic Art Nouveau style and accented by beautiful barbotine molded / sculpted border details of floral garlands and a lightly fluted form with a 'festonee' lobed border. In excellent condition, these plates remain very usable - perfect festive party pieces, wall plates, or for the china cabinet!
Priced and sold as the SET of 3 pieces.
A lovely form, with lightly scalloped and fluted rim and a beautiful design of repeating stylized border of vining floral sprays. Very striking design in a classic apple-green and white colorway, brilliant color and lustrous glazes.
Each plate is 20.5cm diameter 1.5cm high
In excellent vintage condition with no cracks, crazing or discoloration. Some very minor faults and signs of use such as scratches on some of the plates and a few tiny fleabites chips and scrapes to the rim. One plate with a non-penetrating hairline on the reverse (appears to be in the glaze layer only). Nothing to prevent use or to affect appearance on display.
A superb set of plates to display, use and enjoy from a respected French maker!
