Set of 12 stunning French antique soup plates, late 19th to early 20th century, in the 'Cyclames' pattern from Clairefontaine during the Leon Graves period. All in lovely condition to use and enjoy, this set is a lovely way to add authentic French vintage charm to your kitchen - or a fabulous blue and white addition to your vintage tablescape!

The late 1800s was an exciting time in design in Europe, and this design unapologetically embraces the romance of the country cottage idyll that was so important in the Arts and Crafts / Aesthetic movement. The gorgeous blue transferware is set off beautifully by the crisp white-ground for a stunning authentic antique design.

Priced and sold as a matching SET of 12 plates.

The diameter of these plates is 24cm, height 4cm.

All plates are in very good to excellent antique condition - No damage to note - colour remains crisp and clear for all pieces and suitable to use for serving. As these pieces are over 100 years old, you may see small signs of age, use and wear such as age appropriate crazing, a few tiny 'fleabite' chips glaze losses to the rim, small scrapes, scratches, small spots of discoloration and other small defects, all to be expected for an age over 100 years. Some blue spots and smears / smudges present also, as to be expected for manufacturing processes of the time - these are in no way faults, but arise from the more "hand made" processes in use at the time of manufacturing. Over all these pieces are in lovely condition for age, gorgeous on display and nothing to prevent continued use, as desired
