A gorgeous pair of French antique ceramic rectangular faience serving dishes dating back to c1835. Produced by David Johnston of Bordeaux, from a factory that operated only from the early 1830s to 1945 in Bordeaux. Featuring the sought after, richly decorative 'Mille Fleurs' pattern in rich cobalt blue transferware and a highly unusual shallow rectangular form, both these dishes are in fabulous condition for their considerable age.
Priced and sold as a PAIR of matching serving dishes.
Dimensions each dish: 26.25cm long x 17cm wide x 3.5cm high
In very good antique condition. No major damage to note but you may see small signs of use and wear such as some scrapes and scuffs along the inner and outer rims and areas of discoloration visible on the underside. Please see photos, more detailed images are available on request. In lovely condition for age, gorgeous on display and nothing to prevent continued use, as desired.
