A stunning PAIR of French vintage twin-branch candle stick holders in rich indigo blue glaze with hand painted renaissance decoration of flowers, plinths and mythological birds, together with majolica details of sculpted leaf designs. Based on early designs, this is a lovely set of vintage majolica from Gien, France from the mid 20th Century (mark from 1971-1984), Fabulous in a maximalist interior or with a baroque / renaissance theme.
In excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Priced and sold as the pair.
Fabulous as candelabra, these candlesticks have the added bonus of factory-made holes to allow the passage of electrical wired so they can also be used as lamp bases, if desired.
