A set of two of elegant and rare French antique cake stands, in lovely geometric design of a spiral Greek key border (also known as a guilloche), from St Amand, France, c1910. In pristine condition, these gorgeous footed dishes are in a matching pattern of petrol blue / green transferware with a stunning repeating design.
Priced and sold as a SET of 2 pieces.
Although obviously able to be used separately, this pair would make a stunning base for a larger-scale table display of fruits, desserts or flowers - perfect for wedding or celebration china.
One piece unmarked, the other bearing the stamp of Moulin des Loups et Hamage (Nord).
The condition is excellent antique condition with no cracks or chips on either piece. No discoloration, very light all-over crazing, no major stains or discoloration. Small scratches here and there, but both pieces very lightly used and in great condition for age of 100+ years.
Identical form for each piece, dimensions as follows:
Diameter - 23cm
Height -12.5cm
Top bowl depth - approx. 4cm
