A gorgeous French vintage ormolu jewelry box with lovely bevelled glass sides for romantic and stylish small jewellery storage. An ideal ring box for weddings, perfect for photography and as a romantic momento.
Featuring a goldtone finish in ormolu metal (a brass alloy) along with quality catch and hinges and yellow fabric interior base. While carrying a few scratches and scrapes from its long life, this lovely vintage box is still very usable for jewellery or other small storage, with no breaks or major damage. Quality fixings with very little corrosion, still opens and closes well, and looks great.
Closed dimensions: 6.5cm long x 6.5cm wide x 6.5cm high
In good vintage condition with some patina of age. No breaks or damage, all parts move smoothly, and fittings are well attached. A minor misalignment of 3-4mm between one of the legs compared with the others - this does not affect the box too much but can be noticed as a rocking from corner to corner when touching or moving the box and one leg is usually off the ground. Some scratches and signs of use. Still very usable but with a subtle patina of age. Clean and dry condition, ready to use.
A lovely piece of French fancy to enjoy in your vintage interior, for a wedding, or as for a romantic special gift!
