A wonderful series of 6 tin glazed faience display plates, sold as a mismatched set of six pieces - perfect for the plate rack or as a fabulous wall display!
Based on the historic designs produced around the time of the French Revolution of 1789, these are all hand painted 20th Century reproductions of these stunning old designs. Made in France by various local artisans who specialize in keeping alive the tradition of tin glazed faience and the homage to the patriotic designs of centuries ago, these are all hand painted pieces in the colorways of traditional French faience.
Sold and priced a mismatched set of 6.
All are in very good condition with no large cracks or chips, and no major crazing. Just a few tiny scratches here and there and a few fleabite chips to the rim, nothing to interfere with display and enjoyment.
Dimensions: Plates range between 24cm to 25.5cm in diameter and between 3.5cm to 4cm high.
(Please note that the plate in the pewter inlay is 20.5cm diameter, the inlay brings it to 24cm)
These plates have been on display, rather than in use and remain in very good condition for presentation and collectability. A fabulous set to add some French charm to your life!
