An adorable collection of miniature dinette plates in 3 different sizes with beautiful teal transferware designs. These lovely Victorian period Choisy le Roi play-size plates have a teal blue rim motif and show lovely countryside, horse & hunting scenes. Possibly from a child's / doll's set in a charming miniature size.
The set contains a total of 23 pieces, which includes: 5 plates 12cm diameter 6 plates 10cm diameter 11 plates 8cm diameter
This time worn collection shows visible imperfections and wear due to its 130 years of use, and you may see teal glaze smudges, surface scratches and some fading of the transfer images. The smallest sized plates have 2 or 3 small chips on or under the rim, with one plate showing a visible mature chip and small hairline crack (2cm) on the rim (see photo).
Some pattern skips as to be expected for manufacturing processes of the time - these arise from the more "handmade" processes in use at the time of manufacturing. Otherwise the plates are in good overall condition, with no other cracks.
Perfect on display as part of an antique vintage transferware display, or as an accessory for a Victoirian doll collection, this is a fabulous set to add some child-like charm to your home!
