A lovely French antique stoneware confit pot, dating to the early 20th century. Traditionally used for cooking and preserving meats in the days before refrigerators, this piece has a beautifully simple, tall rustic form with smooth hand-molded handles and a gorgeous russet brown with matt glaze and charming drip finish. Likely manufactured in Digion valley at Saint-Amand-en-Puisaye, renowned for its stoneware.
Its understated design and its timeworn patina with beautiful light staining make it a perfect addition to French country, farmhouse, or cottage-style interiors. Use it as a rustic vase, utensil holder or just in command of its own space.

*Condition*: Excellent antique condition with no chips or cracks. You will expect to see age-related wear including light surface marks, minor imperfections, and natural glaze variation. No major damage unless noted.
