French antique red and white transferware part dinner service, 19 pieces, 12 plates ''Cadix' pattern, Creil et Montereau, France c1890

A very elegant French floral red transferware dinner service comprising 12 plates and a generous set of accompanying serving dishes. Marked for 'Cadix' Creil et Montereau (Labrador) with the famous sailboat mark. In very good antique condition overall and still very usable. Perfect celebration china, ideal for a wedding table, these romantic flower patterns will elevate any dining experience.

Featuring a gorgeous intricate floral and foliate design, with a border of leaves, anemone flowers, roses and scroll details in beautifully soft raspberry red. This set is an absolutely classic design capturing the romance of French Belle Epoque design, with hints of both the Empire Revival style and the emerging Art Nouveau- very elegant and timeless to fit with many décor styles.

This listing is priced for the SET of 19 pieces. However, as this is not a complete service, I would also consider selling groups of pieces from the whole by arrangement. Please contact me if you are interested in part of this collection and we can see if we can meet your needs :)

CONDITION - Unless stated all pieces are in 'very good' to 'excellent' state and in usable antique condition. There are some signs of their considerable age and busy life of this service - you may expect to see small 'fleabite' glaze losses at the rim, scratches, general light crazing and small areas of tea-stain patina on some pieces.

The set of 19 includes the following items:

12 Flat plates (23cm diameter 2.5 cm height) 12 in excellent antique condition plus one additional plate that has a small chip about the size of a grain of rice to the underside of the rim.
1 Large oval platter (37cm x 27.5cm x 2.5cm) in excellent condition
1 small oval platter (32cm diameter 23.5cm height) in excellent condition
1 large round platter (28.25cm x 25.5cm x 3cm) in excellent condition
1 small round platter (26.5cm diameter 3cm height) one small chip to the underside of its rim
1 Footed gravy / sauce boat (25 cm x 15cm H 10cm) with a large shallow chip to the outer rim of the spout
1 Very large round platter (30cm x 3.5cm x 4cm) in excellent condition

Overall, this set has a wealth of pieces that remain in truly lovely condition for an age of 120+ years - the set remains very usable and will display and serve well for years to come. It is a beautiful pattern and a rarely-found colour - just perfect to add authentic French antique charm to your table settings!
