A lovely French antique cast iron ornate filigree free standing countertop soap dish in good condition with wonderful original patina of use.
No damage, cracks or deformations. Practical design in usable condition, ready to use in your vintage bathroom, kitchen or laundry!
In heavy metal (I think cast iron) fabricated in a lovely design with very French embellishments of ornate filigree designs, this is a romantic but also utilitarian design which allows the soap to drain easily. The water will free drain away from the soap in this dish so it is intended to sit directly on the sink - excellent for a butler sink arrangement or use it with an under plate on your counter. Perfectly at home in an antique / farmhouse / cottage style décor, this piece will add authentic charm to any space.
Condition is shabby aged condition with patina of use and exposed metal finish. Areas of caked in ancient soap help to create a worn patina and could be removed if desired. The structure is completely sound with no major damage and no penetrating rust so this piece will be able to serve for many years to come.
Maximum dimensions: 15cm wide x 10cm high x 12cm deep (front to back)
