A simply beautiful French antique Limoges porcelain ravier oval serving dish in polychrome trasnfer printed design with gold gilt border, in a lovely pattern of orange and green stylised border decals in Art Nouveau floral designs. In fabulous condition for their age, these pieces will seem to have come straight from the Parisian Belle Epoch to your table.
Price is for ONE. Three are available at the time of listing.
Bearing a lovely makers mark in use between 1901-1913 from the Limoges porcelain makers J B & Cie, France who eventually became TLB (Touze, Lemaître frères and L. Blancher) of Limoges after WWI.
Made in about 1905, these small oval plates ('raviers' in French) would probably have been used to serve petit fours or small cakes, but these classic pieces will lend themselves to many purposes.
The beautiful crisp white of the porcelain surface is complemented by the sweet stylised floral border featuring a regular vining pattern and floral decals, in orange, brown and green. Beautifully detailed and accented perfectly by gold gilt borders which remain in excellent condition.
In excellent antique condition - no cracks or chips, a few light signs of use and wear (very small scratches, scuffs). No crazing of the glaze, colour is very consistent with no patchy discoloration. Gold is a little worn in places on one of the pieces but generally intact. Nothing to prevent continued use and display very well. Please see photos for condition. Percect condition for display or use.
