An lovely French antique chamber pot in cobalt blue on white stencil painted decoration of a floral freize. Classic French vintage style with a touch of Art Deco panache! In a gorgeous floral airbrushed / stencil print, from the early Art Deco period from one of the pioneering designers of the time, Theophile Fenal of Badonviller, France. Featuring a lovely pearl / dotted border pattern and a pattern of stylised dahlia or daisy flowers, this is a lovely example of early French Art Deco design made in high quality earthenware c1905-1910 by the renowned faienceries of Badonviller.
Absolutely wonderful condition with no chips or cracks, no major staining or crazing. Sweet sculpted handle, stamped with production numbers on the base, along with the stamped maker's mark for TF (Theophile Fenal) Badonviller with a mark dating from 1900-1905 .
Or use it as a fabulous bathroom accessory, centerpiece, vase, or special planter!
This pot is in very good antique condition with no cracks or chips - signs of use, scrapes and very small 'fleabite' glaze losses may be present. Some manufacturing irregularities including color variations, spots under the glaze as to be expected for manufacturing processes of the time. Lovely warm white color with very little visible crazing or tea stain discoloration. Still presents beautifully, and in great condition for use, whether as a planter, display or flower bowl, etc.
