A French antique barbotine majolica side or dessert plate, in a lovely design with red roses and leaves. Hand made in France, A.Lebacqz M Bouchart St Amand c1900. A charming plate ideal for a collector of majolica, or for lovers of French faience.
Features a beautiful barbotine sculpted surface with raised rose flowers, buds and leaves and charming in a hand painted colorway. Also, a lovely lightly scalloped border The colors are in a vibrant palette of cream/yellow, red and green the polychrome hand painted glazes accenting the sculpted elements to beautiful effect.
CONDITION - Very good antique condition with no large chips or cracks. an aged 'tea-stained' patina. Some scuff marks and fleabite chips to the rim. Overall light signs of wear and use, with no major issues to to detract from appearance on display.
