A French antique barbotine majolica side or dessert plate, in a lovely design with cherry branches. Hand made in France, Moulin des Loups Orchies c1900. A charming plate ideal for a collector of majolica, or for lovers of French faience.
Features a beautiful barbotine sculpted surface with raised fruits and leaves and charming in a hand painted colorway. Also, a lovely moulded border with basket weave pattern.. The colors are in a vibrant palette of yellow, cherry and green the polychrome hand painted glazes accenting the sculpted elements to beautiful effect.
CONDITION - Very good antique condition with no large chips or cracks. Some scuff marks and fleabite chips to the rim. Overall light signs of wear and use, with no major issues to to detract from appearance on display.
