A lovely hand painted blue and white French antique cake stand / compotier with a tea-stained patina and delicate blue flow patterns. An original style with authentic signs of age! From the renowned Villeroy and Boch makers, with a production mark underneath (Dresden).
This timeworn beauty is made in earthenware with a creamy white paste and pretty hand painted floral and line pattern. A perfect French country design dating back to the beginning of the 20th Century.

Prettily showing the passing of all its 100 + years of age, this piece has a visible chip on the underside of the rim. Otherwise in good general condition with a tea stain patina on the plate, signs of wear and glaze loss.
It shows typical blue flow smudging due to the genuine hand painted technique of the time. It has a chip at the outer plate rim which is visible from the side. No cracks.
Please ensure you thoroughly check all photos as the condition will not suit everyone - though lovers authentic time aged objects will love it!
