A stunning antique cake stand from Staffordshire makers Brown, Westhead, Moore & Co in petrol blue transferware design of butterflies and flowers with a geometric border. With a raised base and scalloped edge this elegant piece features a very beautiful transfer printed floral motif and border detail in an unusual teal blue glaze on a crisp white ground. A fabulous piece of Staffordshire pottery, pattern name 'Lima' by BWM & Co with a Victorian kite registration mark dating this piece to the 1870s-1880s.
Featuring a subtly molded edge with raised border rim, butterfly and floral decorations with Greek key border, and scalloped detail.
Condition is excellent antique condition. No chips or cracks, light signs of use overall, age appropriate crazing, no stains. You may see a few signs of use and wear including scratches, very tiny flea bite glaze losses, nothing to detract from use or appearance on display.
Dimensions: 23.8cm diameter (slightly variable) x 8.5cm high. Plate is approximately 4cm deep at the center.
