Faded elegance abounds in this shabby set of 3 antique French ironstone faience small plates in brown transferware from the Aesthetic Movement, c1880-1890. Beautiful on display, whether as wall plates, or in your china collection, these pieces offer an earthy sepia toned palette, lovely anytime but perfect for Autumn / Fall decor. Featuring a lovely transfer printed design in brown with naturalistic vignettes of floral sprays, this timeless small set of antique plates features different designs across each piece, a lovely diverging pattern to grace your home.

Condition - Showing all the signs of the passing of 120+ years, these plates are in shabby antique condition - the colour is mostly bright and clear, but they many signs of use such as scrapes / scratches, scuffs, some crazing / dulling of the glazes and areas of 'tea stain' discoloration. 1 plate with a 1cm chip to the face of the outer rim, 2 with hairline cracks, one crack is significant and discolored running from rim into the centre. Other faults including staining, glaze skips, and fleabite glaze losses. There is a colour difference between one of the plates which doesn't share the aged 'tea-stained' patina of the others and presents a little whiter.
