A beautifully timeworn French tureen base in the rare and romantic "Carmen" pattern by Sarreguemines, France, dating from around 1890.
This antique ironstone bowl features richly detailed blue and white transferware with delicate butterflies and wildflowers - a perfect example of the rural romanticism of the Arts and Crafts / Aesthetic Movement. Though missing its lid and well-worn by time, the piece remains deeply charming and ideal for decorative styling.
Ideal as a rustic fruit bowl, on a country kitchen dresser or as a wabi-sabi centerpiece, this bowl will be gorgeous styled among vintage ceramics in a French farmhouse interior!

🧾 Condition This tureen is in shabby, antique condition and sold for decorative use. It has no lid, several hairline cracks, large scratches, along with surface wear, glaze crazing, some chips and patina. Not food safe or watertight, this piece should be used for decorative purposes only and handled with care.
