A lovely French antique stoneware confit pot dating to the early 20th century. Traditionally used for cooking and preserving meats in the days before refrigerators, this piece has a beautifully simple, rustic form with smooth hand-molded handles and a gorgeous, chocolate brown matt glaze. Likely manufactured in Digion valley at Saint-Amand-en-Puisaye, renowned for its stoneware.

Its understated design and its timeworn patina with beautiful light staining make it a perfect addition to French country, farmhouse, or cottage-style interiors.

Color: pale brown glaze and ecru ground

Dimensions: Height 31cm - Diameter 20m / 30cm with handles
