Antique Dinner Service, Salins France 24/12-Place Dinner Service, 'Guirlandes Louis XVI' Pattern, 50pc Green Transferware

A very elegant and beautiful French antique xx piece dinner service in a stunning design, in excellent usable condition with place settings for up to 24 people (24 dinner, 12 soup plates, 12 sides), plus a generous set of matching serving dishes. From the renowned maker Salins France in the pattern 'Guirlandes Louis XVI' with ribbons, swags and garlands exquisitely rendered detail, dark forest green transferware on a white ground. This service was made in French faience ('terre de fer') c1890-1900, remains in lovely antique condition, very usable and displays beautifully.

CONDITION -
This set remains in very good to excellent condition, no chips or cracks hardly any crazing, some very light scratches, a few very small areas of glaze loss, a few small areas of discoloration, etc. Also, it is manufactured using more 'handmade' processes than today, and you may see areas of glaze smudging, glaze spots, bubbles under the glaze as is normal for transferware and part of the vintage charm of the items. With the exception of a few minor flaws everything is in very good to excellent condition and remarkably well preserved for its age of 100+ years - the service remains fully usable and will display well for years to come.

All items are in very good to excellent antique condition, there are some very minor flaws, the specific areas of slight damage are noted below.

12 shallow soup plates - 24cm diameter
12 Side plates - 21.5 diameter
4 oval ravier serving dishes - 23.5cm long x 13cm wide
1 saucier serving dish - 25cm x 14cm x H10cm (small firing mark in base of the bowl)
1 Large round salad bowl - 28.5 cm diameter H 11 cm (some small spots of discolouration)
2 medium sized platters 26cm diameter
1 large round serving platter - 31 cm diameter
1 Round shallow serving Bowl - 28cm diameter x 4cm high
1 Large Soupiere / tureen with lid (W 34cm including handles x H 18cm including lid Diameter 18cm.
1 Small oval Soupiere / tureen with lid (W 30cm including handles x 26 cm x H 14cm including lid
