An elegant, rare, French antique dinner service in blue and white transferware in a classic Parisian Belle Epoque design. The set of 30 pieces includes place settings for 12 people, (soup plates and dinner plates) and an array of serving dishes (soupiere, salad bowl, ravier, platters, and a rarely found condiment pot).

This set was produced around 1900 from the faiencierie of K&G (Keller et Guerin) Luneville, France in the pattern 'Champetre'. The name means 'garden party' in French, and the stunning design features gorgeous floral vignettes with delightful romantic iconography (lutes, urns, baskets, chicks in nests, garden ornaments) in a style that dates the service firmly within the Arts and Crafts or aesthetic movement in France. The plates are square in form, very subtly fluted and generously proportioned, especially by the standards of the time (antique plates tend to run smaller than modern dishes, whereas these are beautifully sized for contemporary needs.)

Numerous plates to serve a significant dinner party of 12, accompanied by a classically French matching set of serve ware. Lovely color retaining a gently aged white base without significant discoloration. Ideal for celebrations (imagine your fabulous table at Thanksgiving or Christmas!) or gorgeous wedding china.

Sold as a set of 30 pieces.

Overall, this set has been carefully used and most pieces remain in good to excellent condition despite their great age. A few pieces with some damage to note, but apart from where detailed below, the plates and soup bowls are in very good antique condition. Please note that even where a piece has no major damage to note but you may see small signs of use and wear such as minor crazing tiny 'fleabite' chips glaze losses to the rim, scrapes, scratches and spots of discoloration and other small defects, all to be expected for an age over 120 years.

Generally in lovely condition for age, gorgeous on display and nothing to prevent continued use, as desired. Please see the specific and detailed condition descriptions below, check photos, and please don't hesitate to ask for further detailed information or images.
