Beautiful decoration in lavender and white transferware with a romantic countryside scene. Unfortunately, this piece has a visible chip to the foot rim, but it remains watertight and would still serve as an excellent vase, centerpiece or decorative embellishment for your home. \u003cbr\u003e  \u003cbr\u003e This ornamental piece dates to the late 1800s and still presents well, with its crisp white ground and lovely mauve transferware decoration. The design is from the height of the Victorian era and features a formal border pattern and an idealized countryside scene, finished with a wonderful serpent handle.  \u003cbr\u003e  \u003cbr\u003e In satisfactory condition for age, with a large mature chip on the foot rim.
