Originally a water jug for washing, this piece would make an excellent marble effect vase, centerpiece or being put back to work as a water vessel. \u003cbr\u003e  \u003cbr\u003e This piece dates to the late 1800s and still presents very well with its crisp white ground and lovely cornflower blue decoration. The transferware printing is very detailed but restrained and elegant. Almost the entire body of the jug covered in beautiful faux-marble effect, in a non-repeating pattern, and complemented beautifully by the bold Greek key border and delightful diamond and sunburst handle pattern - so much detail to enjoy in this piece!   \u003cbr\u003e  \u003cbr\u003e Stamped pattern name 'Athénes' and K\u0026amp;G Lunville as makers mark on the base.  \u003cbr\u003e  \u003cbr\u003e In excellent condition for age - no chips or cracks, very light signs of use and wear, including a few light scratches, no crazing, stains or discoloration.
